US President Donald Trump on Thursday said that people and media outlets questioning American ammunition supplies were "treasonous," according to Anadolu Agency. Trump made the accusation in posts on his Truth Social platform while defending US military action against Iran.

"The people and Media Outlets that keep harping on the fact that we have no ammunition … are actually treasonous," Trump wrote in one post. He accused critics of preferring to see the US lose the war rather than see him succeed.

In a second post, Trump stated that the US has "virtually unlimited amounts" of ammunition. He said the country possesses more mid- to high-grade ammunition than it could use in the current operation or any foreseeable conflict.
