Hamid Mazhar Ali, the husband of Turkish American activist Aysenur Ezgi Eygi, said Friday that the US legal process into her death had stalled, according to Anadolu Agency. Ali spoke at a memorial ceremony at Eygi's graveside in Didim, in southwestern Turkey's Aydin province, marking two years since her killing by Israeli soldiers in the occupied West Bank.

"The legal process in the US is at exactly the same point as the day she was killed," Ali said. "There has been absolutely no progress."

Ali said he and his family had made persistent requests over the past two years for an investigation to be opened. "Despite our persistent requests over the past two years, no investigation has been launched," he said.
