Restaurants across the United Arab Emirates are reopening after summer closures as the country's hospitality sector prepares for the final months of the year. Some venues closed temporarily for renovations or interior upgrades, while others relocated or changed operators. Regional uncertainty has affected visitor numbers and dining habits across the Emirates, according to the hospitality industry.
Scalini Dubai, an Italian restaurant at Four Seasons Resort Dubai in Jumeirah, has reopened following renovations that introduced Mediterranean-inspired interiors with ivory and navy accents and redesigned outdoor seating. Executive chef Francesco Cortorillo has refreshed the menu to include dishes such as raw Sicilian red prawns with Datterino tomatoes and linguine with fried Italian courgette and Provolone del Monaco cheese.
Andaliman, an Indonesian restaurant, has relocated to the 24th floor of One&Only One Za'abeel in Dubai, moving from its previous poolside location. The new venue offers city views alongside a menu drawing on flavours from across the Indonesian archipelago, led by chef de cuisine Ismawan Dzabir.
Hitchki, a Bollywood-inspired restaurant, has reopened at Novotel Dubai Gold District in Deira under new operator Phoenix Hospitality Group following its initial launch in Dubai in 2019. The venue has introduced refreshed interiors, an updated menu combining Indian dishes with contemporary influences, and a new shisha lounge.
Coya Abu Dhabi, a Peruvian restaurant at Four Seasons Hotel Abu Dhabi at Al Maryah Island, reopened in August after a brief closure for upgrades. Tattu Dubai, a contemporary Asian restaurant, has returned across two upper floors of Ciel Dubai Marina with new dining experiences including weekday business lunches and sunset offerings.
Tapasake, a Japanese-led restaurant at One Za'abeel, is preparing to reopen this autumn following a major renovation of its venue atop The Link.
