The Egyptian Veterinarians Union will hold its third regional meeting of a nationwide tour on Saturday, September 12 at 11 a.m. at Dar al-Hikma in Cairo. The meeting will bring together Magdi Hassan, the union's national president, with members of the general assembly from the Cairo and Giza chapters, along with union board members from both local and national levels.
The tour, called "Voice of the Veterinarian," is designed to foster direct communication between the national union leadership and its grassroots members. Hassan said previous meetings in Qalyubiya and Menoufia provinces, followed by sessions in Beheira, Alexandria, and Matrouh, had drawn positive responses from veterinarians eager to raise workplace and union issues.
Hassan said the gatherings allow the union to hear directly from members about challenges that vary by province and to update them on completed work and ongoing advocacy. He emphasized that the union aims to make contact with members a continuous mechanism rather than limited to occasional meetings.
The Cairo and Giza session represents the third stop in the union's plan to visit all 27 Egyptian provinces. Hassan said the tour will continue until reaching every province, giving members throughout the country a chance to meet the union president and leadership and present their concerns and suggestions directly.
Hassan said the core goal of the "Voice of the Veterinarian" initiative is to build genuine communication between the national and local unions and their members. He added that the union aims to link union work to veterinarians' actual needs, follow up on issues raised, coordinate with relevant authorities, and set clear priorities for the coming period.
